A room with a view

26-Mar-2020

Adding loneliness to the mood, I saw this home office worker sitting behind his window, framed by the neighbours' screens shining their dim bluish light out into the world.

Wherever I go and distract myself with a self-isolating walk, there are extra-large television screen waiting to pull me back into reality with their 200 centimeters of coronavirus death toll infographics. I always thought that screenss that dominate rooms are of questionable esthetics, however now that they nearly exclusively display death count maps in bloody red, they are definitely creating an uncomfortable feeling there being no escape.

A room with a view.

I wish people would start to use curtains, not in order to protect their privacy but to keep the radiation with the unpleasant news inside their rooms.
